The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia participated in the 68th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements. This event, which traditionally brings together leading companies, research institutions, and technology organizations from around the world, once again confirmed its position as one of the most important regional platforms for showcasing innovation and industrial development.
Throughout the fair, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the Institute’s current projects and research and development activities, as well as practical applications of artificial intelligence across various sectors — from industrial automation and logistics to healthcare and public services. Particular interest was drawn to demonstrations of advanced AI solutions and autonomous systems, illustrating the rapid transformation in the way technology is integrated into everyday processes.
As part of the accompanying conference program, the panel discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence and Regulation – To Regulate or to Slow Down? Why Rules Are Key to Market Development” was held, bringing together experts from both academia and industry. The panel featured Dr. Vladimir Udovičić, Acting Director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, who emphasized the importance of regulatory frameworks that keep pace with innovation while also enabling the rapid development and application of artificial intelligence in the economy.
The discussion covered the relationship between technological progress and regulation, the need for flexible legislative approaches, and the challenges brought by the accelerated adoption of AI systems across different industries. A special focus was placed on the importance of cooperation between research institutions, industry, and regulatory bodies in shaping a sustainable technological ecosystem.
The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia continues to develop innovative solutions and research projects aimed at advancing the application of artificial intelligence, strengthening digital transformation, and supporting the modernization of both the economy and the public sector.
