Strengthening Cooperation for the Development of Digital Innovation

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia participated in the conference “Serbia–Italy: Building a Digital Future”, which brought together representatives of institutions, the scientific community, and the technology sector from Serbia and Italy with the aim of exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation in the field of digital technologies and innovation.

As part of the conference, a panel discussion titled “Strengthening International and Cross-Sector Cooperation in Digital Research Infrastructures and Innovation Programs” was held, dedicated to developing modern models of collaboration between science, industry, and the public sector, as well as strengthening digital research capacities.

On that occasion, the Acting Director of the IVI, Dr. Vladimir Udovičić, emphasized the importance of integrating scientific research, industry needs, and institutional support in order to develop a sustainable innovation ecosystem. Special emphasis was placed on the role of international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience as key factors in accelerating digital transformation and strengthening Serbia’s competitiveness in the field of advanced technologies.

During the panel discussion, participants exchanged views on improving existing and developing new cooperation mechanisms, with a focus on digital research infrastructures and innovation programs, as well as on connecting different sectors at the national and international level.

The participation of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia in this event represents another step in strengthening its role in developing the innovation system and fostering cooperation between science, industry, and institutions, both domestically and internationally.
