IVI at the Panel on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Providing Psychological Support

A research junior associate at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia and a member of the Human-Computer Interaction research group Milena Oparnica, participated in the panel discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence and Psychological Support”. The event brought together experts from the fields of psychology and technology to explore the potential and limitations of AI solutions in crisis situations, with a special focus on chatbots as increasingly common tools for supporting individuals facing various forms of stress and psychological difficulties.

During the discussion, participants analyzed the capabilities of artificial intelligence in recognizing behavioral patterns and the ways AI systems can contribute to prevention and timely intervention in critical situations. Ethical challenges, the limitations of current technologies, and opportunities for improvement through interdisciplinary approaches were also discussed.

Special attention was given to data analysis and behavioral prediction using advanced algorithms. It was emphasized that AI tools can significantly improve the understanding of individual user needs and enable personalized support tailored to specific challenges and emotional states.
