Artificial intelligence in education and the digital well-being of pupils and students

A round table discussion on “Artificial intelligence in education and the digital well-being of pupils and students” was conducted yesterday in the Palace of Serbia, and one of the participants was Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Rikalovic, team lead of the “Smart Factory” research group at IVI.

The discussion covered recent trends in the field of VI as well as the ways in which artificial intelligence might improve education and assist students in achieving better results.

During the discussion, the most recent results of research and practice in the field of AI and education were presented, and the use of artificial intelligence in personalized learning, assessment, and student support, potential benefits and risks of using AI in education, privacy and surveillance issues, and the effects of artificial intelligence on mental health  were discussed. 

The meeting gathered together researchers, educators, and decision makers to discuss how to use АI properly and ethically in education. Additionally, opportunities and problems within the many components of digital well-being were mapped, and ideas for boosting students’ digital well-being in the modern age were examined.
