This summer, the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia became a hub for education in machine learning and AI, bringing together experts and enthusiasts from around the world. The Eastern European Machine Learning Summer School (EEML) 2024 captured the attention of the global community and provided a unique opportunity for young researchers to connect with leading experts and explore new directions in the field of artificial intelligence.
“We believe this event will inspire new generations of researchers and young talents, fostering international collaborations that will accelerate progress in artificial intelligence”, said IVI Director Prof. Dr. Dubravko Ćulibrk to Biznis.rs. He emphasized that EEML 2024 plays a key role in connecting academic institutions, industry, and research centers, opening up new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Scientists from Google DeepMind, Dr. Nemanja Rakićević and Dr. Petar Veličković, also highlighted the importance of connecting local and international experts in the field of artificial intelligence. They spoke about the significance of networking and knowledge exchange for the development of advanced technologies and the enhancement of research capacities worldwide.
