The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia participated in the international conference “Global 6G Conference”, one of the world’s leading events dedicated to the development of 6G technologies, future communication networks, and the application of artificial intelligence in telecommunications and digital infrastructure. The conference was held in Nanjing, China, under the slogan “Better Together, Better Future”, bringing together leading researchers, universities, scientific institutes, and industry representatives from around the world.
This year’s edition focused on the development of intelligent, sustainable, and globally connected 6G systems, as well as the integration of communications, computing, sensing, and artificial intelligence into future digital ecosystems.
As part of the conference, IVI, in collaboration with partners from Tongji University, organized an international workshop within the Serbia–China bilateral project titled “2nd Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-empowered Internet of Things (AIoT)”. The workshop was dedicated to advanced AIoT systems, semantic communications, distributed learning, and next-generation intelligent networks.
A particular emphasis was placed on knowledge exchange and strengthening international scientific cooperation between Serbia and China in the fields of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and 6G communications. The sessions covered emerging research directions, including semantic communications for AIoT systems, multimodal sensing, and intelligent management of future networks.
IVI’s participation in this conference represents another important step toward strengthening the Institute’s international visibility and active engagement in global research initiatives in artificial intelligence, advanced communication technologies, and smart systems.
