IVI participated in the conference on regional cooperation in the Western Balkans

At the conference “Advancing Together: Regional Cooperation in the Western Balkans, Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria”, the acting director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Dubravko Ćulibrk, and research associate Dr. Bojana Bašaragin emphasized the importance of synergy between artificial intelligence (AI) and social sciences. This event was an opportunity for dialogue about research infrastructures in the field of social sciences with a special focus on the European Social Survey and artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, there was discussion about potential cooperation between the countries of the Western Balkans and EU member states in the area of research infrastructure, and there was talk about how advancements in the development of artificial intelligence complement research methodologies in social sciences. Representatives from the AI Institute shared significant insights on the development of artificial intelligence and the projects our team is working on, as well as on the importance of aligning with EU legal and ethical standards.
