IVI at World Green Building Week (WGBW25)

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia took part in the World Green Building Week (WGBW25) program, marked in Serbia by the Green Building Council. This year’s program featured a series of free webinars dedicated to sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and strengthening community resilience to climate challenges.

During the webinar “How Sustainable Business Improves the Local Environment and the Global Community”, participants showcased a range of initiatives, activities, and business models from the local context that directly contribute to cleaner air, greener spaces, greater urban and community resilience, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Speakers highlighted their work and emphasized its importance in advancing sustainability at all levels — from neighborhoods and local communities to global progress toward a sustainable built environment.

Among the speakers was Milan Grujev, a junior researcher at IVI and a member of the Green AI research group, who spoke about the role of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence in advancing sustainable business practices and building climate-resilient cities.

IVI’s participation in WGBW25 reaffirms the Institute’s commitment to actively contributing to the development of interdisciplinary solutions that connect science, technology, and sustainability. Events such as these provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with experts from diverse fields, while also opening new avenues for applying artificial intelligence in creating sustainable and more resilient communities.
