Dr. Ivan Tanasijević, Head of the Belgrade Office of IVI, participated in the panel discussion titled “Navigating the Future of Technology Jobs: How to Assess AI’s Impact and Identify Skills Development Pathways for Evolving AI-Driven Roles?” held as part of the Western Balkan Engineering Leadership Forum at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
The session brought together experts in artificial intelligence, robotics, and information technology. Alongside Dr. Tanasijević, the panel included Mr. Aleksandar Stepančev, Country Lead for Cisco Serbia and Montenegro, and Milan Gospić, Country Manager at Microsoft.
During the discussion, special attention was given to how artificial intelligence can support the learning process and skill development of employees, particularly those at risk of job displacement due to technological changes. The panel explored how individuals and organizations can best prepare for future job roles that will require new, advanced skills and adaptability.
Dr. Tanasijević emphasized the significant role of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia in developing and applying advanced technologies, highlighting a responsible approach to the integration of AI across various sectors. He pointed out that the Institute’s key mission is to connect industry, educational institutions, and policymakers to ensure the workforce is prepared for the challenges brought by new technological shifts. Dr. Tanasijević also elaborated on how AI is transforming the job market, creating new opportunities and demands for essential skills needed to successfully navigate the future.
