ICIST 2026: A Meeting Point for Knowledge, Technology, and New Ideas

The international conference “ICIST 2026” once again brought together a large number of researchers, engineers, and experts from Serbia and abroad at Kopaonik, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, fostering collaboration, and presenting the latest advancements in information and communication technologies. The conference once again demonstrated its role as an important meeting point for academia, industry, and research institutions.

As part of the three-day program, special attention was given to contemporary and increasingly relevant topics such as Computer Vision, Digital Water, and Industrial IoT. Representatives of research groups from the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia actively contributed to the organization and delivery of these sessions, including researchers working in visual computing and perception, green AI technologies, and intelligent manufacturing systems. Their participation enriched the discussions and enabled the exchange of practical insights from both research and applied domains.

Particular emphasis should be placed on the participation of early-career researchers, who were given the opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas with more experienced colleagues, and build new knowledge and professional connections.

Participation in “ICIST 2026” once again confirmed the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia’s commitment to advancing science, innovation, and the application of modern technologies, as well as to contributing to the continued development of a digital society.
