How Is AI Shaping the Future of Engineering Education?

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming education and engineering practice, bringing new demands in terms of knowledge and skills. In this context, preparing the next generation of engineers takes on a new dimension — from the content of educational programmes to the skills needed to work in a rapidly evolving technological environment. These topics will be explored at the panel discussion “The Impact of AI on Education and the Development of Engineering Talent”, taking place on 30 September 2026 at the Science Technology Park Belgrade.

AI technologies are already changing the way we learn, conduct research, design, and solve engineering problems. At the same time, they are creating new demands for educational institutions and industry in terms of the knowledge and skills future generations of engineers will need.

The panel will explore the skills and competencies that are becoming increasingly important, how educational programmes can adapt to technological change, and what industry expects from the next generation of engineering professionals.

The panel will feature Prof. Ana Deletić, Dr Anja Ranđelović, Mihajlo Kovačević, and Dr Jelica Cincović, with Dr Veljko Prodanović serving as moderator.

We invite members of the academic and research communities, industry professionals, students, engineers, and everyone interested in the future of engineering education to join the discussion on how AI is reshaping education and the engineering profession.
