Final Conference of the AI-WELD Project Successfully Held
The final conference of the project “Improvement of Innovations for Welding by Means of Artificial Intelligence (AI-WELD)” was successfully held at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, marking the completion of a significant cross-border cooperation project between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia. The project was jointly implemented by the Competence Center for Advanced Engineering Nova Gradiška and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia.
The AI-WELD project focuses on the development and application of advanced AI-based solutions in welding technologies, with the aim of modernizing industrial processes and strengthening innovation capacity in the region. By combining expertise in artificial intelligence and advanced engineering, the project has laid the groundwork for smarter, more efficient, and more competitive welding processes.
Throughout the project, innovative solutions were developed to enable the integration of artificial intelligence into welding, resulting in:
- Greater precision and consistency in welding processes;
- Reduced operational costs;
- Increased productivity and quality;
- Improved safety and reliability of industrial systems.
The final conference brought together representatives of partner institutions, industry experts, researchers, and other stakeholders, who had the opportunity to learn about the project results, demonstrated technologies, and their potential application in real industrial environments.
The AI-WELD project stands as a strong example of successful cross-border collaboration, demonstrating how the application of artificial intelligence in traditional industries such as welding can generate significant innovation potential.
