Artificial Intelligence as a Development Opportunity for Modern Cities

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia participated in the regional conference “Public Utilities For All – RENEW”, organized by the Association for Utility Services of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

During the panel “Artificial Intelligence as a Development Opportunity for Modern Cities”, our senior research associate, Dr. Veljko Prodanović, presented the latest research and projects of the “Green AI” research group. His presentation included examples of how AI technologies can enhance the efficiency of public services, reduce costs, and improve the quality of life for citizens through smart infrastructure and automated resource management systems.

The “Public Utilities For All – RENEW” conference brought together experts from the public and private sectors, representatives of the academic community, and civil society from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, the Republic of Srpska, and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over two days of intense discussions, participants focused on the latest trends, challenges, solutions, and best practices in the field of public utilities. This event provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge and experience exchange among experts and for establishing new partnerships and collaborations in the region.
