Applications for PSIML 11 are now open!
We invite all interested candidates to apply for the Practical Seminar in Machine Learning (PSIML) 2026, an annual educational program designed for anyone who wants to step into the world of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and modern AI systems, regardless of prior experience.
The program includes lectures covering a broad range of topics, from the fundamentals of machine learning to modern approaches such as transformers, generative models, and computer vision, as well as hands-on project work with mentorship from researchers and engineers active in the field. After last year’s tour-format edition, the traditional seminar returns in 2026 to its standard format.
The seminar will take place from August 5 to August 16, 2026, at Kaštel Ečka.
The PSIML application process consists of three stages: an application form, a homework assignment, and an interview.
Important dates:
- Application deadline: May 6, 2026, 23:59
- Homework assignment: May 8, 19:00 – May 10, 19:00 (Petlja platform)
- Interviews: May 18 – May 31, 2026
- Admission decision: June 15, 2026
The first stage requires careful and complete submission of the application form within the stated deadline. The homework assignment will be conducted on the Petlja platform within a 48-hour window, and applicants must create an account and include their handle in the application. Candidates with invalid usernames will not be invited to the homework stage. During the interview, discussion will focus on the submitted assignment and the candidate’s previous projects.
