As part of the ARTIFACT project, the IVI Project Management Team carried out a study visit to project partners at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the partner institutions while facilitating an in-depth exchange of knowledge and best practices in international project management, grant administration, and support for research and innovation activities.
During the multi-day visit to Hamburg, the IVI team held a series of meetings with representatives of TUHH, Tutech Innovation GmbH, and the Hamburg Senate Chancellery responsible for science and innovation. Discussions focused on different approaches to the organization and management of research projects, with particular emphasis on the efficiency of administrative procedures and support mechanisms for researchers. The meetings also explored ways to enhance collaboration between universities and external partners, as well as sustainable models for funding research and innovation.
The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on the challenges institutions face in the day-to-day implementation of research projects, particularly in meeting the administrative requirements of different funding bodies and improving the transparency and efficiency of project management processes.
This study visit marks an important milestone in the continued development of collaboration within the ARTIFACT project and further strengthens the partnership between the participating institutions. It also underscores the value of continuous knowledge exchange among academia, industry, and the public sector as a key driver of innovation and research excellence.
