IVI Participated in the International Conference SpliTech 2026

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia participated in the 11th International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Technologies – SpliTech 2026, held in Split and Bol, Croatia. The conference brought together researchers, industry leaders, and experts from around the world to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest advances in healthcare, smart cities, energy, and artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary AI applications.

IVI made a significant contribution to the conference by organizing the Special Session “AIoT for Smart Industry: Innovations, Challenges, and Applications in Industry 4.0 and 5.0”, chaired by Research Associate Dr. Milovan Medojević and Senior Research Associate Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Rikalović, as well as the workshop “Edge AI for Respiratory Sound Analysis”, led by Research Assistant Dr. Nikola Marković, Research Associate Dr. Bojana Bajić, and Research Associate Dr. Milovan Medojević.

The Special Session “AIoT for Smart Industry: Innovations, Challenges, and Applications in Industry 4.0 and 5.0” focused on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (AIoT). Discussions covered smart industrial systems, intelligent automation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging applications supporting the transition toward Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. The session featured cutting-edge research and innovative solutions aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of industrial processes.

The workshop “Edge AI for Respiratory Sound Analysis” showcased the latest approaches to applying Edge AI technologies in respiratory sound analysis. Particular emphasis was placed on intelligent healthcare solutions, real-time signal processing, and the use of artificial intelligence to support clinical decision-making and diagnostic processes.

IVI’s participation in SpliTech 2026 once again underscored the importance of international collaboration in advancing artificial intelligence research and its real-world applications across healthcare, energy, smart cities, and industry.
