The occasion for the delegation’s visit was the Third International Conference on Future Communications and Networks – FCN 2025, held at Belgrade’s Sava Center from August 18–22. This prestigious event was co-organized by the FuTURE Mobile Communication Forum (China), the University of Novi Sad, and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research and Development of Serbia, bringing together leading global experts to present the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs.
The FCN 2025 program featured keynote speeches, invited talks, technical symposia, and workshops on topics including AI-enabled communications, edge and cloud computing, integrated sensing and communications, next-generation networks and future internet, as well as space–air–ground connectivity.
During the conference, joint research within the REST-on-AIoT project was also presented. The project is carried out under the Serbia–China Science and Technological Cooperation Program, funded by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of Serbia. It unites four research teams from Serbia and China with the goal of advancing developments at the intersection of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
The visit of the Chinese delegation and the successful organization of FCN 2025 reaffirm Serbia’s growing position as an international hub for research and development in artificial intelligence and telecommunications.
