Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Serbia and Eswatini to Strengthen Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

A Memorandum of Understanding was ceremonially signed at the Palace of Serbia between the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, the Royal Science and Technology Park of Eswatini, and the University of Eswatini.

The goal of the agreement is to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, technological development, and education. A key focus of the Memorandum is the development of language models and generative AI in the siSwati language, fostering the preservation and advancement of local languages through modern technological solutions.

Following the signing ceremony, a roundtable discussion titled “Serbia and Eswatini – Innovation as a Driver of Growth” was held, where representatives from both sides explored opportunities for further collaboration in innovation and technological development.

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and King Mswati III of Eswatini addressed the attendees, highlighting the importance of innovation as a critical factor for sustainable development and the enhancement of economic relations between the two countries.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks an important step toward strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between Serbia and Eswatini, opening opportunities for the development of innovative solutions and the advancement of artificial intelligence on a global scale. The agreement also reaffirms Serbia’s commitment to the development of AI technologies and international collaboration in education and innovation.
