IVI joins the SAIFA Consortium

The European Commission has approved the project SAIFA (The Serbian Artificial Intelligence Antenna Factory), a result of collaboration among several leading research and educational institutions in Serbia. This project marks an important milestone in building national infrastructure for the research, testing, and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.

SAIFA will serve as a national platform dedicated to supporting innovation throughout its entire life cycle – from concept to realization. The project aims to foster stronger connections between the academic, research, and business sectors in the field of artificial intelligence, contributing to the creation of a competitive and sustainable AI ecosystem in Serbia.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, serves as the project coordinator. In addition to the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, consortium members include:

  • Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac;
  • The Institute of Physics Belgrade;
  • Institute Mihajlo Pupin;
  • Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering;
  • FEFA Faculty;
  • Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment

The Serbian Artificial Intelligence Antenna Factory represents a major step forward in strengthening Serbia’s AI ecosystem and connecting it with European research and innovation networks.
