Representatives of the Development and Project Management Team of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, Zorka Glušica Navalušić and Dr. Jelena Zelenović, participated in the international event “AI – Governance and Strategy”, held in Zaragoza, Spain, and organized by the Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA – Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón). The event is part of the Interreg Europe – embrAIsme project, which brings together partners from across Europe to exchange experiences and improve strategies for the development and governance of artificial intelligence.
During the meeting, partners actively exchanged examples of good practices and innovative approaches aimed at facilitating access to AI tools for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The discussions focused on ways to combine European and national funding to enhance the readiness of both public and private sectors for the implementation of AI technologies.
The final part of the event featured an interactive session titled “AI Basecamp Workshop for the Future”, during which participants collaboratively developed proposals for improving AI policies in partner countries and regions, building on the consortium’s extensive experience and expertise.
The event was described as highly inspiring and productive—another valuable milestone in the ongoing collaboration within the embrAIsme community, which continues to promote the responsible, ethical, and sustainable application of artificial intelligence across Europe. The participation of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia in this event reaffirms our dedication to advancing the development and implementation of AI through international collaboration and knowledge exchange with European partners.
