IVI at the conference “Social aspects of the application of artificial intelligence and transhumanism”

The director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia dr. Vladimir Udovičić, officially opened the conference “Social Aspects of the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Transhumanism”, jointly organized by the Institute of Social Sciences and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia.

In his opening address, Dr. Udovičić emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the impact of artificial intelligence on society, the economy, and individuals. He highlighted that increased innovation in the application of AI technologies contributes positively to long-term economic growth. While many developed countries face challenges regarding the ethical and responsible implementation of AI, he stressed that Serbia has significant potential for further progress, supported by a growing ecosystem of research, education, and innovation in the field.

As part of the conference, a round table titled “AI in the State Administration System” was held, with participation from IVI’s Business Development Manager, Dr. Branislav Radomirović. The discussion focused on legal, ethical, and social challenges related to the use of AI in state administration, as well as the potential of AI technologies to improve administrative processes and foster innovation in the public sector. Participants examined the roles and responsibilities of institutions and explored ways to combine national and international initiatives to support technological and economic development.

The international conference “Social Aspects of the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Transhumanism” provided an important platform for dialogue between scientists, researchers, and institutional representatives, addressing the social, ethical, and economic dimensions of AI development and application, with the goal of promoting responsible and sustainable use of emerging technologies.
