IVI at the Beijing Forum 2025

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia took part in the prestigious Beijing Forum 2025, an event that brings together leading global experts in artificial intelligence, the social sciences, and technology to foster the exchange of ideas and promote international cooperation.

Established in 2004, the Beijing Forum serves as a global academic platform centered around the theme “Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All”. This year’s edition, titled “Civilizational Coexistence in the Era of Digital Intelligence”, explored the rapid social and technological transformations driven by digital and intelligent technologies, as well as their impact on global collaboration and cross-cultural understanding.

Dr. Ljubiša Bojić, Senior Research Associate at IVI, delivered a lecture on the panel “Global Governance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities”. His talk opened space for a critical discussion on global risks and responsibilities in steering the development of advanced AI technologies, highlighting the intersection of technological progress, security, and international politics. The lecture focused particularly on the challenges posed by the gradual—and often subtle—adoption of increasingly powerful intelligent systems, emphasizing the need for a transparent, accountable, and coordinated global approach.

IVI’s participation in the Beijing Forum represents a significant international acknowledgment and reaffirms the importance of its contributions to the field of digital intelligence. Through this engagement, the Institute further strengthens its role in global discussions on the societal impact of artificial intelligence, especially in the areas of innovation, security, and responsible technology development.
