The Director of IVI, Prof. Dr. Dubravko Ćulibrk, participated in a panel titled “Smart Infrastructure for Connecting Future Cities” held as part of the EV Days conference. The panel focused on key topics regarding how modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), are transforming our cities and the way we live.
During the discussion, Prof. Dr. Ćulibrk emphasized the crucial role of artificial intelligence in shaping the cities of the future, highlighting that AI is not just a tool but a key driver in creating sustainable, efficient, and energy-independent urban systems. He also noted that electrified transport, autonomous vehicles, and high-performance communication infrastructure contribute to better connectivity, reduced pollution, and an improved quality of life in urban areas.
The panel concluded that future cities, through the implementation of smart solutions, will be designed to meet the needs of their citizens, ensure environmental sustainability, and enable the optimal use of resources.
