{"id":4049,"date":"2026-10-04T10:25:21","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T10:25:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/?post_type=news&#038;p=4049"},"modified":"2026-10-05T10:27:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T10:27:24","slug":"the-impact-of-ai-on-education-and-the-development-of-engineering-talent","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/en\/news\/the-impact-of-ai-on-education-and-the-development-of-engineering-talent\/","title":{"rendered":"The Impact of AI on Education and the Development of Engineering Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A panel discussion titled <strong>\u201cThe Impact of AI on Education and the Development of Engineering Talent\u201d<\/strong> was held at the Science Technology Park Belgrade, focusing on the changes artificial intelligence is bringing to education, engineering practice, and the development of future engineers\u2019 skills and competencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Panelists <strong>Prof. Ana Deleti\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Dr Anja Ran\u0111elovi\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Mihajlo Kova\u010devi\u0107<\/strong>, and <strong>Dr Jelica Cincovi\u0107<\/strong> discussed how the rapid development and growing adoption of AI technologies are shaping the knowledge and skills expected of future engineers, as well as how the education system can respond to accelerating technological change. The discussion was moderated by <strong>Dr Veljko Prodanovi\u0107<\/strong>, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion addressed the competencies that are becoming increasingly important in modern engineering, opportunities to enhance and adapt educational programmes, and the need for stronger links between academia and industry.
