{"id":3983,"date":"2026-08-27T08:04:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T08:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3983"},"modified":"2026-09-01T08:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T08:06:09","slug":"dar-sandbox-launches-in-belgrade-to-connect-research-industry-and-ai-innovation","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/en\/news\/dar-sandbox-launches-in-belgrade-to-connect-research-industry-and-ai-innovation\/","title":{"rendered":"DAR Sandbox Launches in Belgrade to Connect Research, Industry and AI Innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Digital AI and Robotics (DAR) Sandbox<\/strong> has officially opened at the Science and Technology Park Belgrade, providing a dedicated environment for the development, testing, and demonstration of innovative technological solutions, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The DAR Sandbox provides a new environment for connecting researchers, innovators, companies, and institutions, enabling the development and testing of new solutions in real-world settings while fostering closer cooperation between academia, industry, and the public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was attended by <strong>Dr Vladimir Udovi\u010di\u0107, Acting Director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia<\/strong>, who took part in the panel discussion <strong>\u201cFrom Collaboration to Innovation: AI in Support of Development and Competitiveness\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The panel brought together representatives of the research community, public sector, and industry to discuss the potential of artificial intelligence to drive innovation, strengthen the competitiveness of domestic companies, and support the development of new technological solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The particular significance of the DAR Sandbox lies in creating an environment where research expertise and AI infrastructure can be connected with the specific needs of industry and the public sector. This model of collaboration can help accelerate the transfer of research results into practical applications, as well as support the development of new AI products and solutions in Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia\u2019s participation in initiatives of this kind contributes to connecting research capabilities with the concrete challenges and needs of society and industry.
