{"id":3792,"date":"2026-04-27T13:17:40","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T13:17:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3792"},"modified":"2026-04-27T13:27:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T13:27:54","slug":"applications-for-psiml-11-are-now-open","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ivi.ac.rs\/en\/news\/applications-for-psiml-11-are-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications for PSIML 11 are now open!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We invite all interested candidates to apply for <strong>the Practical Seminar in Machine Learning (PSIML) 2026<\/strong>, an annual educational program designed for anyone who wants to step into the world of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and modern AI systems, regardless of prior experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program includes lectures covering a broad range of topics, from the fundamentals of machine learning to modern approaches such as transformers, generative models, and computer vision, as well as hands-on project work with mentorship from researchers and engineers active in the field. After last year\u2019s tour-format edition, the traditional seminar returns in 2026 to its standard format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will take place from <strong>August 5 to August 16, 2026<\/strong>, at Ka\u0161tel E\u010dka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PSIML application process consists of three stages: an application form, a homework assignment, and an interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important dates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application deadline: <strong>May 6, 2026, 23:59<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Homework assignment: <strong>May 8, 19:00 \u2013 May 10, 19:00<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/petlja.org\/sr-Latn-RS\/\">(Petlja<\/a> platform)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interviews: <strong>May 18 \u2013 May 31, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admission decision: <strong>June 15, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The first stage requires careful and complete submission of the application form within the stated deadline. The homework assignment will be conducted on the Petlja platform within a 48-hour window, and applicants must create an account and include their handle in the application. Candidates with invalid usernames will not be invited to the homework stage.
