Through lectures and workshops, IVI researchers presented applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, deep learning, and time series analysis, with a special focus on practical AI solutions and interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of the conference was the keynote lecture delivered by IVI\u2019s <strong>Acting Director, Prof. Dr. Dubravko \u0106ulibrk, titled &#8220;AI-disrupted Medicine and How to Apply It&#8221;<\/strong>. Prof. \u0106ulibrk emphasized the transformative role of AI in modern medicine \u2013 from diagnostics and therapy planning to personalized healthcare and clinical decision support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through real-world examples in machine learning, big data processing, and computer vision, the keynote explored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>how AI enables faster and more accurate diagnostics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ways to optimize treatment through AI systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>specific AI tools that support radiological practice;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>as well as the ethical and implementation challenges of applying AI in medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to lectures, IVI researchers led two expert workshops:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cFundamentals of Deep Learning\u201d<\/strong>, led by IVI research associate Dr. Ilija Kamenko, introduced participants to the foundations of deep learning, model training, and applications in computer vision and natural language processing. Participants who completed the workshop received an internationally recognized NVIDIA DLI certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u201cEdge-Aware Time Series Analysis with Deep Learning\u201d<\/strong>, delivered by Dr. Milovan Medojevi\u0107, Nikola Markovi\u0107, and Mladen Mili\u0107, focused on human activity recognition using time series sensor data.
