On the occasion of the International Day of Rare Diseases, a panel titled “The Importance of Early Diagnosis of Rare Diseases”<\/strong> was held at the Embassy of Japan in Serbia, featuring Dr. Branka Raki\u0107<\/strong>, the Assistant Director for Biotechnology at IVI as a participant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This significant meeting, organized as part of the “Innovation for Rare Diseases” conference, brought together representatives of state institutions, medical experts, patients, and activists to consider the latest achievements in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases and explore their application possibilities in Serbia. The importance of early diagnosis of rare diseases was highlighted as a key factor in improving the quality of life for patients and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of international cooperation and innovation in medical research, especially in the case of rare diseases, whose complexity requires a multidisciplinary approach and collaboration on a global level. Participants discussed various aspects of the fight against rare diseases, including the latest early diagnosis techniques, as well as the need for greater availability of treatments and support for patients and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
